Background
Ashbourne 1843 Ltd is a private company incorporated on 3 March 2026 and registered at Unit H, Gateway 1000, Whittle Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Two people hold significant control, each with between 25 and 50 per cent of its shares and voting rights: Mark Alan Boost, founder and chief executive of Civo, and Anthony Sarno. Both were notified on 3 March 2026.
Ashbourne's own filings show a shareholding above three-quarters in a company called Civo Data Centre (Welwyn) Ltd, giving Ashbourne control of that subsidiary. Civo Limited holds no stake in either company, so both sit outside the operating group Mark Boost runs. The Welwyn subsidiary's name has drawn attention only because Civo's 22 September 2026 edge announcement named no site company of its own; no source confirms Ashbourne's holding owns, holds or operates that site .
Holding infrastructure assets outside an operating company is a common financing structure, and The Register states no purpose for this one. Civo Limited separately controls six other companies incorporated in 2026: Civo UK SPV1, SPV2 and SPV3, and Civo Compute Holdings V, VI and VII. Ashbourne 1843 Ltd shares its registered office with Viva Investment Group Ltd, the related-party lender named in Civo's accounts.
