Nomads & CommunitiesBackground
Letting Agent Today reported the timetable Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy gave MPs in early September 2026: England's register of short-term and holiday lets would be fully operational by March 2027.
The site is a trade title for the lettings industry, published by Angels Media of Beckenham, Kent, which also publishes Estate Agent Today. Graham Norwood, a former BBC business journalist, has edited both titles since 2014.
Its report carried the date but not the fees, data fields, administrator or whether registration will be mandatory, all still unconfirmed for England. Wales, by contrast, requires every paid overnight provider to register with the Welsh Revenue Authority by 31 March 2027.
