ITV Academy launched fully funded, nine-month Production Assistant traineeships in July 2026 that combine classic TV production skills with an introduction to AI and virtual production, hosted across five ITV Studios labels: Bright Entertainment, ITV Sport, Multistory Media, The Garden and Twofour.
The programme is a workforce-development move distinct from hiring senior AI specialists: ITV is training entry-level production staff to be AI and virtual-production literate from day one, rather than recruiting AI expertise only at the top of the organisation. It sits within ITV Studios, ITV's production Arm.
